In watercolor, it is important to be mindful of the color of the erasers you use. Some erasers can smear color behind them on your nice white paper. This eraser is tan and non-smudging. Gum erasers are widely considered the most gentle eraser. They gently remove graphite and more or less break down in the process (so your paper doesn't break down). These are not great detail erasers, especially after their corners have been worn down.
