This palette is comprised of 14 Half-Pans and 6 Full Pans of color enclosed in a bijoux box, and accompanied by a hand-painted color chart. (Pans are NOT wrapped or magnetized.)
This collection is extremely versatile. It is the expanded version of our Sketcher's Set, which contains Modern Primary Colors (CMYK colors), Ochres, Secondary convenience colors, colors for quickly mixing skin tones, a greyscale, and Tertiary colors for convenience. This expanded version contains additional blues, purples, and and additional red. Colors that are more often used or have less tinting strength are in Full Pans.
This palette is designed for what it is named: Sketching. This means that it is a wonderful tool for color studies, for painting that require precise color matching, and for organizing your thoughts without using your most expensive or rare pigments. It is also useful for color mapping and preliminary studies that you can use for more developed work. In this way, you can get your thoughts down with, for example, Ultramarine Blue, and save your Lapis for the finished painting.
This is a workhorse palette designed for adventure and to tackle any subject you throw at it.
