This is our first-ever Shell Advent Calendar. It includes 25 different Shells of our colors, all hidden behind a sheet of paper doors. Shells are glued in place. Each door has a tiny seal to be broken to open the door (both to keep them shut and prevent peeking!) Doors bear the date they are to be opened on front, and on back they list color name, pigment index number where applicable, and a seasonal painting prompt designed to incorporate some of or all colors that have been opened.
Door sheet is made of Arches watercolor paper so that you can paint on your Advent Calendar. It is designed to become more colorful as you open each door. Each door is designed for a particular type of color swatching activity - basic instructions will be included but are of course completely optional and just for fun! Doors can be torn off at the end of the season so that you can use the finished calendar as a palette while colors remain.
This calendar in particular is designed to bring delight to you - whether you are familiar with our colors, entirely new to them, or a collector. We hope you enjoy it!

Main Line colors, Limited Edition Colors, Unreleased Colors, New Colors, and even a retired color - but I can't tell you which ones - it's a surprise!
Calendars are made by hand by us in our Colorado Studios.
