Artist Ambassadors

Here at G & B, we believe wholeheartedly in supporting art, adventure, and all other creative endeavors.  We encourage everyone and anyone to get out there to create and explore.  You don't need a bunch of expensive supplies and fancy equipment, just the will and the passion.  There are adventures to be had in your backyard and masterpieces to be created from the tip of a pencil.

It isn't always easy to put yourself out there - whether the challenge is opening up the pages of an empty sketch book to confront the blank page, or striking off into the wilderness to see what you're made of.  It can be scary, daunting, and uncomfortable.

But the act of creating - making something where there was nothing before, and of exploration - seeing something new and following your curiosity, will always reward those that bravely venture forth.

In our modern world of interconnectivity, there is a vibrant community of artists, outdoor enthusiasts, and creators of all types.  Many of these people make sacrifices to pursue their various goals.  There are climbers, painters, and photographers who live in their cars and trucks so that they can chase the sun and be always seeking new horizons.  There are artists and travelers that work multiple day jobs to fund their vision, taking on every shift they can, working over-time to afford airline tickets, gear, and supplies.  There are embroiderers that sneak stitches on their subway commute, gardeners who live in city skyscrapers and tend small window boxes perched on fire escapes, and mothers that sneak a few minutes to sketch or write while their little one naps..

This community is one we want to support.  One of the ways we do this is by sponsoring artists: supplying them with the materials they need to make the art that only they can create.

These are passionate artists going full-bore in pursuit of their dreams and vision, making waves, and motivating others.

It is always good to keep in mind that everyone needs support.  Whether it comes in the form of a few words of encouragement, passing on a few supplies that you no longer need, offering a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand, a critical eye, or jovial camaraderie, everyone can both use and offer a little support.  Each one of us is a vital part of the creative community, and it is up to us to make it a safe, welcoming, and beautiful place.
