Travel Water Cup by Hahnemühle
A game-changer in your travel watercolor kit. If you aren't a fan of waterbrushes, then you are likely familiar with the hazards and challenges associated with traveling with a cup of water to rinse your brushes. I have tried many different options over the years and my favorites have emerged as collapsible cups. This is my favorite model because it is so slim when collapsed. However, this version by Faber-Castell has a more stable base and the waved top rim provides a place to rest your brush without worry that it will roll off your work surface. This version does have a lid, which can be very handy, either when you want to pop the top on your water cup while you take a quick painting break, or to keep a collapsed cup that still has paint water on it contained and tidy in your paint kit bag. The lanyard can be left on or removed from the lid at your convenience.
While this cup has a rather narrow base when fully expanded, making it dangerously tipsy, I just leave the bottom to increments collapsed in; I find it is more stable and still provides ample water.
