This palette is comprised of 14 magnetized Half-Pans of color enclosed in a travel tin, and accompanied by a hand-painted color chart.
This collection of colors is designed to be ultimately versatile. Consider it your go anywhere, paint anything palette. It contains two sets of primaries: both modern primaries and traditional earth primaries. It also contains secondary colors for convenience, and a greyscale that includes brown and allows you to paint on tinted papers if you wish.
This Re-Release palette has been tweaked just a little bit to add even more mixing options. Brown Ochre (instead of Cassel Earth) adds more warmth to skin tone mixtures (just add Grey Ochre for more depth). Green Earth, while having a narrower value range than Green Earth 2, is a more versatile hue that can be darkened or intensified with other colors in the palette. Sadly, our Purple Ochre pigment is unavailable for the time being, so we have swapped it out with Violet Hematite, which is extremely similar in hue. Just use a more dilute Violet Hematite to mimic Purple Ochre, and enjoy the wonderful variegation of Violet Hematite - it is one of our very favorites!
