This palette is comprised of 52 Half-Pans of color enclosed in a blue enamel Bijoux Box, and accompanied by a hand-painted color chart. (Pans are NOT wrapped or magnetized.)
This one of the largest color collections we have ever offered. It features Historical colors, high chroma modern synthetic colors, Ochres, Mineral, Earths, many of our Limited Release colors, new colors introduced this year, colors that haven't yet been released, and two of our retired Mayan colors.
Named after the rare mythological creature as it contains some of the earth's most rare and elusive colors. As we work in small and micro batches, it is also unusual that we have such a varied assortment of our colors all cured and ready at the same time.
It features the most stunning pigments, from across the world, some of which were prized by the very first painters making marks on cave walls and others were treasured by Renaissance Masters. It also encapsulates a veritable timeline of scientific discoveries in the field of pigments spanning back from hundreds of years ago to today.
